Association of Citizens for Assistance to Displaced Persons from Kosovo and Metohija “Sveti Spas”, Belgrade, parallelly with other activities, from the very beginning of start of their work, is actively working with the youngest among displaced . The collaborators of Association organised the children in creative workshops on fully volunteer basis, without any compensation and covering of basic costs of functioning.

The product of this engagement which is available to all interested children is public presenting of the work of creative workshop in cultural institutions : Peoples’ University “Braca Stamenkovic”, Dadov Theatre, Maslesa Theater, Cultural Center Stari Grad, Dom Sindikata, Childrens’ Hospital Tirsova etc.

The first material support to this engagement is accepting the project of manufacturing of gypsum statues “Diznilend” by International Orthodox Charity organisation IOCC. Thanking to understanding of IOCC it was allowed to children to show their creativity in preparation, manufacturing, processing and finalising and free of charge distribution of gypsum statues.

All the children mastered successfully the technique of making gypsum statues so that this project, besides psycho-social support, enabled to children discovering of new sorts of interest. Special satisfaction to the participants of the workshop was joint celebration of birthday parties as well as the free of charge distribution of statues: on 8th March in centre in Knez Mihajlova street, for Vrbica festival before the Sveti Marko Church and in Aleksandar Nevski Church and in Tirsova Hospital for the children having treatment there.
This assistance of IOCC, resulted in establishing of stronger links and creative work of children who participated in programme, so that until today they continued to keep company, regretfully without understanding of those responsible for financial support of this work.
Thanking to the assistance of friends from Cultural Centre from Nova Pazova was created the team of gifted children who prepared and performed cultural programs (literary-poetic programs) in Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade, Dom Sindikata Belgrade, Cultural Centre of Crvenka town (Vojvodina), in towns of Athens, Asporvalta, Becici, in Divcibare mountain and in other cultural institutions.
For more than a year the associates of our association are trying in vain to provide funds for presenting of literal and poetic programme of creative workshop to displaced persons in big towns inside Serbia, as well as to Kosovo and Metohija. Regretfully the funds so far hadn’t been provided.

As the part of the activities of creative workshop it is worth mentioning the engagement of the professor of mathematics Mr. Dusan Dolasevic who provided free of charge for almost 2 years lessons of mathematics to interested children. Besides mathematics the lessons of physics and chemistry had also been provided.
